A founder and fund manager with a decade of experience originating, underwriting, and structuring capital for agricultural businesses across the Northeast.

She is Co-Founder and President of Black Farmer Fund, which she has built since 2019 into a nonprofit operating on a $3.1 million annual budget with a team of fifteen, alongside a $16 million investment fund serving Black farmers and food businesses. The organization deploys capital through an investment fund, a rapid response fund for farmers facing emergencies, and free technical assistance. Alongside the capital, it runs community work days on investee farms and free skillshares covering bookkeeping, revenue strategy, credit, and climate resilience.

She has served as an Independent Director of Iroquois Valley Farmland REIT since 2022, where she chairs the Farmer Impact & Sustainability Committee and sits on the Finance Committee. The REIT grew from $80 million to $124 million during her tenure, and she oversaw adoption of a farmer success-sharing program that returned $200,000 in profits to its longest-tenured and highest-performing farmers.

Her career began in farm operations at Soul Fire Farm Institute and Kahumana Organic Farms. She has previously served on the boards of Sustainable Agriculture & Food System Funders, Soul Fire Farm Institute, and Hawai'i Farmers Union. She is a co-recipient of the 2023 James Beard Humanitarian of the Year Award, and was named to the Grist 50 and Forbes' 30 Under 30 in Social Impact.
